To KQED-FM in San Francisco whose “Voice of the Voter” project was given first place honors for Public Service in Professional Broadcasting by the Northern California Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. KQED shares the award with its partners, the San Francisco Chronicle and KRON-TV. “Voice of the Voter” is one of the 1994 NPR Election Projects.
